TOWN OF STRATHMORE
The Town of Strathmore, with a population of just over 13,000, is located 37 km east of Calgary on Highway 1. It has grown from a small hamlet to a bustling, energetic town over the years. Strathmore is an extremely popular location for first time buyers due the relative price ranges compared to buying or building a home in Calgary but it is still a relatively easy commute at around 25 minutes.
Strathmore has most of the amenities of cities that are a much larger size while retaining a small town atmosphere. The Town has an extensive shopping and restaurant selection with Tim Horton’s, Extra Foods, Boston Pizza, Co-op, McDonalds and now a Wal-Mart. It also boasts a swimming pool, curling rink, hockey arenas, civic centre, library, parks and green spaces, a downtown core and excellent schools.
